Simple Past Tense

  • There were many cases of corruption that were revealed last year.

Past Perfect Tense

  • Jokowi had made some policies to clean corruption culture in Indonesia.
  • Indonesia’s economy had growth at a rate of between 5% and 7% a year in the last ten years.
  • The value of rupiahs had run down before the price of things increased.

Past Continouns Tense

  • The price of fuel oil was increasing while the value of rupiahs was running down.
  • Customers was complaining the price of things when fuel oil increased.
  • Mr. President was explaining his programs to improve Indonesian economic.


Present Continouns tense

  • Unilever’s accountant is calculating the profit of company right now.
  • The director is explaining about chart of US inflation and nominal interest rates 1952-1998 in front of many investor.
  • Bank tellers are serving their client from Barbara Company.
