Writing Project E

Merry Riana was born in Jakarta, May 29th, 1980. In this year (2015), she will celebrate her 35th birthday. She entered ‘Nanyang Technological University’ (NTU) in Singapore. Merry Riana is an enterpreneur, author and speaker. She is living passionately everyday as a source inspiration to others. She likes to writing articles on her inspirational blog, all of her writings are inspired from real events and experience in her life.

Merry Riana became a millionaire at 26 years old. It’s great right??? It started since she live in Singapore to study when she was 18th years  old.  Don’t you think if she have a super rich family who supported her with a lot of capital, or she married a billionaire guy. She work very hard to achieve it and she dare to ‘Dream Big’.

When she was studied at NTU , she just got $10 from her parents to survive a week. Can you imagine that If you stay in Singapore? Merry had to be very careful in spending her money, because she had very limited resources. Sometimes, she just ate instant noodles, bread or even skipped meals. Merry said that many thing could do to save money, like get ‘free meals’. It’s possible. It was very embarrassing, but it’s very helped to survive with $10 every week in Singapore.

When she was 20th years old, she made a resolution. She said that before 30 years old, she must achieve her financial freedom, where she don’t  need to worry any more about money. To realize her dreams, she was doing Industrial Attachment with an American-based semiconductor company. But after working for a few weeks, she resign from her work. And she be an sales. And she survive for 1,5 years. Immediately after graduating from school, she was $40.000 in debt and cut off from any income that used to come from the student loan.

after her graduated, she had decided to become an entrepreneur and start a business in sales rather than to take the traditional safe path of an employee. But she faced a lot of resistance about her decision from her parents, teachers and friends. She promised them that she would only try out this  business for three months. If there are no sign of growth or success, she must stop and give up be an engineering.

She works very hard, after three months she started the business, she  was already making salaries for her peers were earning graduated. After 1 years she hard work, she broke many records and won many awards in the industry. And then she was featured in The Straits Times. It is a media from Singapore. At the same year, she earned over $200.000. Merry Riana said that for success, we must to have 3 traits, Hardworking, Discipline, and Teachable.

When she celebrated her 30th birthday, she had resolution for the next 10 years, before 40, she want to create a POSITIVE IMPACT in the lives of at least 1 million people, especially women in Asia. Merry Riana is Inspirative Person, who have many achievement. She’s young millionaire, 4 years after her graduated, she has earned more than $1.000.000.000 through her business. She’s successfull Entrepreneur. She is a Dynamic Trainer. She has motivated and trained more than 5.000 professional, managers, executive, business owner, salespeople and many more. She is a Finance Expert, Influential Networker, Media Personality, Best-Selling Author, and many more. 

So, we as young generation, we must try the best for our future like Merry Riana. She is a Women, and she can do it for her life. Keep spirit for our, it is in your moment of decision that your destiny is shaped.  Hard work always pays off,  it's just a matter of time.
